The Coast Guard has responded to an oil spill in Terrebonne Bay, LA. Officials said an oil tank platform at the Hilcorp Caillou Island facility collapsed and fell into the bay. An estimated 14,000 gallons of crude oil has spilled into the water. Authorities have deployed 4,500 feet of containment booms, deployed three skimming vessels, and have multiple response vehicles on the scene assisting with the cleanup. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
