An accident between a car and a tractor-trailer closed I-95 in New Rochelle, NY on Saturday morning. A saddle tank on the tractor-trailer ruptured and spilled 200 gallons of diesel fuel onto I-95. The driver of the car was injured and transported to a local hospital. Traffic was backed up for four miles as a result of the accident. The spilled fuel reached the storm drains by Evans St. The fire department deployed booms to contain the fuel. The Coast Guard and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation worked together to get the fuel cleaned up.
