An explosion at the Chemours plant in Belle, WV lead to a 2-mile shelter in place for local residents. Four people were injured during the explosion, including two plant employees. Chemours stated “There was a fire at one of the tenant companies at our site in Belle, West Virginia. Site responders worked to contain the fire.”
The cause of the explosion is currently under investigation.
