December 9, 2020: (FR) Revision of Method for Calculating Monetary Threshold for Reporting Rail Equipment Accidents/Incidents

FRA has modified the accident/incident reporting regulation that requires railroads to report all rail equipment accidents and incidents above the monetary reporting threshold to FRA.
The regulation has been amended to modify the way it calculates periodic adjustments to the reporting threshold as well as the way it communicates each calendar year’s threshold to railroads. The final rule will be effective as of January 8, 2021.
