Two people were injured when a Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern Railroad train derailed near Sharpe Road in New Underwood, SD. Recent flash flooding in the area washed out part of the track causing three locomotives and 15 rail cars to leave the derail and become partially submerged in water.
Two people became trapped under the train but only sustained non-life threatening injuries.
