The American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) has submitted a petition for waiver of compliance to FRA. The waiver seeks to amend an existing waiver of compliance in order to include seven member railroads that, at the time of the initial approval, did not participate but have since determined that they would like to be included.
The original waiver addresses the requirement for train employees to receive 48 hours off duty following six consecutive days on duty. Interested parties may submit comments on the petition until April 12, 2019.
