The Federal Railroad Administration has extended the deadline on applications for the Fiscal Year 2018 Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements program. The goal of this program is to improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the intercity passenger and freight rail transportation systems. Interested parties may now submit applications until October 12, 2018.
