September 25, 2018: (HM-251F)(FR) Removal of Electronically Controlled Pneumatic Brake System Requirements for High Hazard Flammable Unit Trains

Upon determining that the requirements were not economically justified, PHMSA and FRA have issued a final rule that will remove the requirements regarding electronically controlled pneumatic brake systems on high hazard flammable unit trains. The rule will be effective as of September 25, 2018.
