Denver’s Regional Transportation District (RTDC) submitted a petition for waiver of compliance regarding the required Automatic Train Control system’s periodic testing. The regulations require testing to be performed at an interval of 60 days. RTDC is seeking permission to perform the testing at an interval of 92 days. In the petition, RTDC states that the maintenance and testing program that was designed by the manufacturer of the vehicles is based on a 92-day interval.
Interested parties may submit comments on the petition until March 30, 2018.
