A freight train derailment closed both north and southbound lanes of US 52 in Wyoming County, WV on Friday. No injuries were reported but several vehicles in the area were crushed. Norfolk Southern said the train was hauling 110 cars. Seventeen derailed in front of the Hanover Wrecker Service and spilled coal onto the roadway. Several cars on the lot were crushed by the derailed cars but were empty at the time. The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
