September 19, 2022: Truck Hauling Hazmat Wrecked in Ohio

The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to an accident involving a tractor trailer hauling hazardous materials on US-30 on Friday. The driver suffered serious injuries. He was flown to a local hospital.
Authorities said the truck was hauling a highly combustible petroleum product. The contents of the truck were found to be leaking following the accident. The incident occurred in Wayne County, near the intersection of Elyria Rd and US-30. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. Local traffic was forced to detour while officials cleared the scene. The driver remains in the hospital.
