August 30, 2022: Hazmat Truck Overturned in SD

Photo by  Rapid City Fire Department

A truck hauling flammable liquid overturned in Rapid City, SD on Monday. The accident occurred about two miles south of Reva. Authorities said the truck was hauling 36,000 gallons of diesel fuel and alcohol mix at the time of the accident. It appears that the right side tire left the road around mile marker 197. This caused the truck to roll over into a ditch. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. It does not appear as though any of the load leaked during the incident.
