A chemical spill at the Perdue Farms processing plant in Washington, IN lead to an evacuation of around 350 employees. Authorities said a pallet being transported at the facility tipped over and spilled an unnamed chemical. Seven employees were treated for exposure after experiencing shortness of breath and headaches.
Mayor David Rhoads released a statement saying the spill was cleaned-up promptly. Production at the plant resumed within an hour of the incident.
