Emergency crews responded to a pipeline explosion in Fort Bend County, TX on Thursday afternoon. The flames could be seen for 30 miles. According to officials, the explosion happened in a remote field. There were no buildings or residential homes near the site of the explosion. The pipeline is owned by Energy Transfer.
Local residents are asked to avoid the area between Orchard and Wallis off of BJ Dusek Road. Emergency crews had the scene under control within an hour. No injuries were reported. The cause of the explosion is currently under investigation.
