A massive oil spill in Lawton, OK has shut down a city park. The spill originated at the Stellar Drilling Fluids plant after a trespasser cut the property fence and opened valves. This resulted in 5,900 barrels of a petroleum based drilling fluid to be released. The fluid covered the plant and spilled into a local city park. Officials said some of the fluid has reached one of the ponds in the park. Authorities placed caution tape and cones at the entrance to Keechi Trails Tuesday morning.
