On Friday the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration announced the ArionT Electronic Logging Device was removed from the list of approved devices. Additionally, it has been added to the list of revoked devices. The agency made the decision after the company’s failure to meet the minimum requirements.
FMCSA will provide carriers with a 60 day grace period to replace their current device with a compliant one. After August 24, 2022 any carrier still using the ArionT ELD will be considered to be operating without an ELD. Safety officials will be required to place the driver out of service.
The agency is recommending current ArionT ELD users:
1. Discontinue using the revoked device(s) and revert to paper logs or logging software to record required hours of service data.
2. Replace the revoked device(s) with compliant ELD(s) from the Registered Devices list before August 24, 2022.
