Wichita firefighters responded to a three alarm fire involving hazardous materials at the Coleman facility on Wednesday evening. The fire appears to have began on the exterior of a building that houses containers of propane. It then spread to the interior of that building and ignited two trailers nearby.
Several one-gallon bottles of propane exploded, sending balls of fire through the air. Crews were able to quickly control the situation and prevented the fire from reaching a nearby tree line. Twenty employees were on site at the time of the incident. Firefighters were able to safely evacuate everyone.
