August 24, 2021: Canada’s TSB Investigating Recent Derailment in Moncton

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is sending a team of investigators to the site of CN’s recent derailment. On Saturday, a freight train derailed in Moncton, New Brunswick. Around 30 cars left the track. Twenty of those ended up on their sides.
A spokesperson for CN said no hazardous materials were involved in the derailment but declined to say what materials were on board the train.
The cause of the derailment is unknown at this time.
