Authorities are investigating the cause of an explosion and fire that killed one person in Beauregard Parish, LA on Sunday evening. The incident occurred at an inactive oil well site near Cordial Lane and S. Cooley Rd.
First responders were able to quickly extinguish the fire and determined that there was no danger to the public. The State Fire Marshal, Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Louisiana State Police HazMat are working together to investigate the incident.
