DPS Electronics, Inc., a Montana based company that designs and manufactures train telemetry and test equipment, has petition FRA for an extension on a previously approved waiver of compliance from certain safety regulations. Specifically, the waiver addresses 49 CFR 232.409(d), Inspection and Testing of End-of-Train Devices, for several end-of train (EOT) and head-of-train (HOT) device models.
Interested parties may submit comments on the petition until March 2, 2020. At this time, FRA does not plan on holding a public hearing on the petition.
