October 6, 2018: Two Union Pacific Crew Members Killed During Train Derailment

Two Union Pacific employees were killed on October 6, 2018 when a moving train slammed into a stationary train in Laramie County Wyoming. The engineer of the moving train, Jason Martinez, and the conductor, Benjamin Brozovich, were both killed during the accident. The crew of the stationary train was not injured.
The National Transportation Safety Board has begun its investigation into the accident. The investigation may take as much as five days to complete.
