The US District Court in Billings, MT has indicted Donald Wood Jr., and his company, Woody’s Trucking LLC, on charges relating to illegally transporting hazardous materials in 2012.
A driver for Woody’s Trucking loaded natural gas condensate from the North Dakota Bakken oil fields and delivered it to Custom Carbon Processing. The bill of lading associated with the product was falsified to show the product as slop oil and water rather than the drip gas that was actually in the truck. While the driver was pumping the front tank of the truck a fire ignited and injured three employees. The truck did not contain an appropriate placard that identified it as a hazardous material.
