Norfolk Southern Railway submitted a petition to FRA for approval to modify switch 1723, which is located at Milepost (MP) SP 172.29. Switch 1723 is currently a power-operated switch that will be converted to a hand-operated switch in an effort to improve operations at this location.
At this time FRA does not anticipate scheduling a public hearing. Interested parties may submit comments until August 22, 2016.
