San Diego Trolley Incorporated (SDTI) submitted a petition to FRA requesting a five year extension to an existing waiver regarding the light rail transit operations which shares track with San Diego and Imperial Valley Railroad. SDTI received the initial waiver in 2001 and has received two extensions thus far.
At this time FRA has no plans to schedule a public hearing regarding the request but will be accepting comments from interested parties until June 9, 2016.
