In November 2015 Norfolk Southern Railway petitioned FRA for approval to discontinue a traffic control system on the Buffalo Line. The petition states the Buffalo Line is no longer a through route for their trains running to and from Harrisburg so there is no longer a need for traffic control system in that area.
Interested parties may submit comments to FRA until June 6, 2016.
