Denton County Transportation Authority has submitted a petition to FRA requesting an extension to its existing waiver of compliance regarding the use of Stadler diesel multiple unit vehicles that currently meet European safety standards. In its original petition, approved in 2011, DCTA stated it believes these vehicles offer the equivalent or higher level of safety, security, and performance than the conventional FRA compliant vehicles. Interested parties may submit comments regarding the request until April 18, 2016.
