The Federal Railroad Administration isued a letter asking the Association of American Railroads to develop a process that would make information available to FRA within a specified period of time following an accident or derailment involving crude oil in order to assist the FRA's investigation process and emergency responders. The letter also reqests a meeting between the two agencies within 30 days to further discuss this issue.
