The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has added 172 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) to the list of toxic chemicals subject to reporting in the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and the Pollution Prevention Act (PPA). The final rule will be effective immediately. This action is being taken to conform with a Congressional legislative mandate so the notice and comment rulemaking was deemed unnecessary.
