December 28, 2020: (FR)(HM–234) Hazardous Materials: Miscellaneous Amendments Regarding DOT-Specification Cylinders

PHMSA has issued a final rule amending the Hazardous Materials Regulations regarding certain requirements related to the manufacturing, use, and requalification of DOT-specification cylinders.
PHMSA will be incorporating or updating references to several Compressed Gas Association publications, making changes to the filling requirements for compressed and liquefied gases, expanding the use of salvage cylinders, and clarifying the manufacture and requalification requirements for cylinders.
The final rule will be effective as of January 27, 2021.
