Ten Norfolk Southern freight cars derailed in Telford on Sunday night. There were no injuries reported and no hazardous materials were involved in the derailment.
A Norfolk Southern spokesperson stated “The mixed-freight train was en route from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Roanoke, Virginia, when the incident occurred. The cause of the derailment is under investigation at this time….Our team is actively working on site cleanup and recovery. We expect to resume regular operations by (Tuesday) morning.”
