February 28, 2020: Hazmat Spilled on Highway 67 in AK Following Traffic Accident

The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management has confirmed that a tanker truck hauling sulfuric acid broke apart following a rear-end collision Tuesday morning on Highway 67 in Lonoke County, Arkansas.
Lonoke County officials have confirmed the accident caused the tanker to spill 2,600 gallons of sulfuric acid into a small creek nearby but there is no concern about the spill flowing into another body of water. One person was injured during the incident but no additional information has been provided about the individual at this time.
