The Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB) announced a final rule regarding accidental release reporting that will be effective as of March 23, 2020. The rule discusses when an owner or operator is required to report an accidental release and what information is required to be in the report.
The purpose of this rule is to ensure the Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board receives accurate and timely reports of any accidental release that meets the statutory criteria.
