A CSX freight train struck a tractor trailer in Calhoun County, South Carolina on Friday evening. Two people were taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
David Chojnacki, the director of the Calhoun County Emergency Management, said the two engines that struck the tractor trailer were both leaking diesel fuel. There were no other hazardous materials on board the train. Firefighters and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control were dispatched to the scene because of the leaking fuel.
