June 18, 2018: (HM-218H) Hazardous Materials: Miscellaneous Amendments; Response to Appeals; Corrections

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration issued a rulemaking regarding appeals that were submitted to a final rule that had been published on June 2, 2016. The appeals were submitted to request extended effective dates on the nitric acid packaging and emergency response telephone number amendments.
Additionally, the final rule clarifies amendments regarding the trigger date for 10 year test periods on certain MC 331 cargo tanks in dedicated propane service.
This rule will be effective on July 18, 2018, and currently has a delayed compliance date of September 17, 2018.
