December 12, 2022: Company Fined After Discarded Batteries Cause 3 Fires

iDiskk, LLC handles returned electronics for Amazon. In 2021 the company was responsible for three garbage truck fires due to improperly discarded lithium batteries. Authorities said there were no injuries during any of the fires. Civil charges regarding improper waste disposal were filed against the company. A settlement was reached in late November in which the company agreed to pay a $25,000 fine.
