The Manitowoc Fire Department responded to a chemical spill at the former Federal Mogul plant in Wisconsin on Friday evening. Employees were moving hydrochloric acid when it spilled onto a large pile of paper. Employees were evacuated and a hazmat team was called in to assist with the clean-up. A shift in the wind and an increase in humidity caused a plume of chemicals to re-enter the building. This forced a second evacuation but no injuries were reported.
