March 5, 2021: Worker Killed During Derailment Clean-Up in Front Royal, VA

A worker was killed during the clean-up efforts at the site of Thursday’s Norfolk Southern train derailment in Front Royal, VA.
Willie Phillips was critically injured in an unspecified accident around 3 am on Friday. He was later pronounced dead. While there is no foul play suspected, Norfolk Southern has requested a death investigation. The Front Royal Police Department is currently conducting the investigation.
