A tractor trailer was struck by a Union Pacific freight train in Pine Bluff, AR on Friday afternoon when the truck failed to stop at a railroad crossing stop sign.
The truck, which was hauling cotton at the time of the accident, was torn in half and the driver was thrown approximately 35-40 yards from the vehicle. He was alive and responsive at the scene but was taken to the hospital for treatment. The train’s conductor also suffered minor injuries.
