Lloyd’s List Intelligence will be hosting an interactive forum in London that will consist of a panel of industry experts and regulators who will be seeking solutions to the recent containership fire issues plaguing the industry.
The goal of the forum, which will be held in November, is to examine the options available to stamp out undeclared or misdeclared shipments, poor packing and securing, and other malpractices that could have deadly consequences.
They will examine all aspects of transporting hazardous cargo in an effort to identify and implement the best options to reduce or eliminate the risks associated with hazardous and misdeclared cargoes.
Additionally, the forum will evaluate progress towards greater collaboration throughout the industry, encompassing shippers, forwarders, ports, terminals, insurers, stakeholders, and container lines.
