July 31, 2019: (FR) DOT Issues Revisions to Civil Penalty Amounts

The Department of Transportation has issued a final rule regarding revisions to civil penalty amounts. The final rule provides the 2019 inflation adjustments to the penalty amounts that may be imposed for DOT regulations violations. The rule lists the current amounts allowed for the multiple agencies including the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, Federal Railroad Administration, and Federal Motor Carrier Administration.
