The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is requesting public comments regarding an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rule Making that was published on May 28, 2019. The rulemaking refers to the integration of Automated Driving Systems for commercial motor vehicles.
FMCSA stated the proposed rule may need to be amended, revised, or eliminated to ensure the safe introduction of ADS.
Interested parties may submit comments until July 29, 2019.
