May 1, 2019: Regulations Amending the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations

Transport Canada has issued an amendment to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations. This amendment is based on recommendations from the Emergency Response Task Force (ERTF) and is designed to improve the Emergency Response Assistance Plan (ERAP) and enhance public safety should an incident occur involving dangerous goods.
There are several new requirements laid out in this amendment that will be effective on June 1, 2019 however, industries are being provided an additional nine months (March 1, 2020) to meet compliance requirements.
