The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has proposed an amendment to the Hazardous Materials Safety Permits regulations. The amendment will incorporate by reference the updated Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance handbook. The Out-of-Service Criteria will provide uniform enforcement tolerances for roadside inspections to enforcement personnel nationwide. Interested parties may submit comments until January 30, 2019.
