April 16, 2018: (FR) Electronic Documents and Signatures

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has issued a final rule amending the regulations regarding the use of electronic records and signatures.
Effective June 15, 2018, electronic methods may be used to generate, certify, sign, maintain or exchange records provided the documents accurately reflect the required information.
This rule will only apply to documents that FMCSA’s regulations require entities or individuals to maintain.
