June 19, 2020: Union Pacific Train Derailed in Soda Springs, Idaho

A Union Pacific freight train derailed in Caribou County, Idaho on Wednesday evening. A total of 31 empty freight cars left the tracks but no injuries were reported. The cause of the derailment is currently under investigation. Cleanup efforts are underway but it is unclear how long it will take to remove the cars and repair any damage to the tracks.
