PHMSA is proposing changes to the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) in an effort to maintain alignment with international regulations. The proposed amendments include changes to proper shipping names, hazard classes, packing groups, special provisions, packaging authorizations, air transport quantity limitations, and vessel stowage requirements.
Interested parties may submit comments on any of the proposed changes until October 12, 2021. All comments must include the docket number.
