St. Mary’s Railway West LLC (SMW) has petitioned FRA for a waiver of compliance from 49 CFR part 240 and part 242. Specifically, SMW is seeking to protect both the railroad and the reporting employees from the mandatory punitive sanctions associated with the Confidential Close Call Reporting System (C3RS).
FRA does not plan to hold a public meeting at this time. However, interested parties may submit comments on the petition until September 27, 2021. All comments must include the docket number.
