A freight train derailed early this morning after it struck an 18-wheeler on Thomas Road near Highway 19 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was able to get out of his truck following the incident. He suffered minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital.
The derailed cars are currently blocking Highway 19 (Scotland Ave) where it intersects with Thomas Road.
The cause of the derailment is currently under investigation.
