A Union Pacific freight train derailed near Rock Island and Atkinson Roads in Dixon, Illinois on Thursday morning. Thirty-nine of the 201 mixed freight cars derailed.
Officials have stated that diesel fuel, nut oil, and sulfuric acid spilled during the accident but has since been contained.
There were no injuries reported and an evacuation order was not required. The Environmental Protection Agency is on the scene during the clean-up.
