December 22, 2020: Truck Driver Killed While Placing Triangles Around Broken-down Rig in Missouri

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a female truck driver, whose name has not been released, was struck and killed by a car on I-270 as she was placing triangles behind her broken-down rig to alert other drivers to slow down because her truck was stalled in one lane. The accident is currently under investigation and the driver of the car remained at the scene.
The accident occurred in Hazelwood, Missouri – a suburb of St. Louis. Two lanes of westbound I-270 remained closed through evening rush hour while the accident reconstruction team continued their investigation.
